How to connect PS4 to TV with HDMI cable
As I mentioned in the introduction of the article, for connect the PS4 to the TV you have to use the HDMI cable present in the sales package of the console, which allows you to put the console in communication with the TV. Of course, in order to turn on the PS4, you will also need to connect it to the power supply via the appropriate power cable (also included in the package).
To proceed, extract the HDMI cable (which is the one characterized by two ends that are identical) and also the power cord (it would be the one that on one side has the socket for the current and on the other a female plug with two holes).
Now, proceed to connect the power cord to the PS4, by inserting the part of the cable opposite the socket in the slot on the back of the console, i.e. in the entrance AC IN, and then introduce the spina present at the other end of the power cord in one power point.
Then take the HDMI cable (it's easy to recognize because it's the only cable that has two identical ends) and insert each of its ends into their respective ends HDMI ports, which are present on both the back of the console and the TV. Mission accomplished! Now you can turn on your PS4 and start playing your favorite titles.

How to connect PS4 to TV without HDMI
Have one TV without HDMI input port, as it is dated and characterized by the presence of sockets like that DVI, That SCART or that VGA? Don't worry: using a HDMI to VGA / DMI adapter, you may be able to connect the PS4 to the TV.
Before explaining how to proceed, however, I want to tell you that if the one you have is a very old TV, the image quality may still not be optimal (as you will not be able to take advantage of the Full HD resolution of PS4 or 4K of PS4. Pro) and, in the worst cases, the connection may not even work, due to the TV not supporting the frequency of the console.
Regarding the purchase ofHDMI to VGA / DMI adapter, know that these devices are available in the most well-stocked electronics stores and, of course, also on online stores, such as Amazon. Their purchase price is around 15-20 euro.
After purchasing the adapter, all you have to do is plug in the power cord to the PS4, by inserting the part of the cable opposite the socket in the entrance AC IN placed on the back of the console, and then introduce the spina present at the other end of the power cord in one power point.
After that, take the HDMI cable, insert one of its ends into theHDMI output present on the back of the PS4 and insert the other end into theHDMI input present on the adapter. To conclude the operation, connect the VGA or DMI cable in the appropriate input on the TV, turn on the PS4 and check that the connection between the console and the TV has been established correctly.
If, on the other hand, your TV only has one SCART socket, you can buy a HDMI to SCART adapter and plug the PlayStation HDMI cable into the PlayStation.
What to do in case of problems
Despite having followed the instructions I gave you in the previous lines step-by-step, do you still have problems connecting the PS4 to your TV? If that's the case, I strongly suggest you contact the Sony support and ask for clarification on what to do.
If the problems are due to hardware defects of the console in your possession, know that you can request the replacement of the same, as long as it is still under warranty (so if 2 years have not yet passed since its purchase) and that the problem is due to a lack of conformity and not accidental damage.
