After installation, start the application, press the button Continue, to accept the conditions of use of the service, and tap the button several times Allow, to ensure that Android Auto can access the data necessary for its optimal operation (location, use of apps and management of phone calls). If necessary, make the updates and downloads suggested by the application.

Once the Android Auto first boot phase is complete, take the USB cable phone and connect it to the USB port of the vehicle (at the moment, the wireless connection is supported on a limited number of devices and only in the areas of the United States, Canada and Mexico): if everything went well, the Android Auto service should start automatically.

The operation of Apple CarPlay is quite similar to what was previously seen for Android Auto: although it is not necessary to install any software on the iPhone (which must be updated to version 7.1 or later), it is essential that the functions of Crab.

To make sure, go to the Settings of iOS, by tapping on the icon in the shape ofgear placed on the iPhone Home screen, tap on the item Crab and make sure the voice assistant is active; if not, move the toggle at the top of the screen to ON, play the voice Enable Siri and answer affirmatively to the messages displayed later.


Now, if you have a car equipped with CarPlay and compatible with the wireless connection, make sure that the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of the car are active, then, from the iPhone, go to Settings> General> CarPlay e premium pulsating Turn on Bluetooth. Once the connection is established, you should be able to see, on the car display, the system Home screen, which offers common applications: Phone, Music, Messages, Now Playing, Audiobooks, Podcasts and obviously, Map. Establishing the connection between the two devices is very simple: all you have to do is insert one end of the cable into the AUX input of the smartphone, the one in which usually the one used for headphones, and the other into the AUX / AUX IN input. stereo.

Once the connection is established, all you have to do is press the button several times AUX on the stereo (or the SRC, Source Media), until AUX appears on the display. Once this is done, all sounds coming from the phone should be playing from the stereo.

The steps to take to establish the connection between the phone and the vehicle differ depending on the car model in use: below I am going to provide you with some general information, however I recommend that you take a look at the user manual of the vehicle. It has a push-button panel, applicable near the steering wheel, which can be used to receive and initiate calls, without using the telephone display.
  • FM transmitter - is a Bluetooth receiver that communicates with the stereo through radio waves.
